Campfire cooking mushrooms

One of our Nurture children enjoyed reading a story about fungi whilst sat in the woods by the campfire when waiting for their garlic mushrooms to be cooked! Yum!

Using King Alfred's cakes for fire lighting

Badger Forest School's 'Woodland Skills' home education group have enjoyed learning more about fungi including their stories and uses, such as King Alfred's cake. They had a go at using some prepared one for fire lighting, as demonstrated by one of our amazing leaders, Steph.

Devil's fingers fungus

One of our leaders, Gracie, was hugely excited to find this Devil's Fingers fungi when supporting her Nurture child - the first one we've seen in the Wheal Martyn Clay Works woodland!
